Default How to import securities from modified csv file?

Hi,

I have started using metastock.
I have historical data of NSE upto 22nd feb 2007.

Now I want to update the data.

I have modified NSE csv file in the format supported by Metastock.
Now How I can import the data from that file into my my NSE folder(where all
securities are there)

I was trying to use convert from Tools Menu.
In Input I gave modified xls file like.....bellow.
And I choose my data output type as MetaStock and choose my NSE folder.

And getting error

TICKER OPEN HIGH LOW CLOSE VOLUME DATE
3IINFOTECH 260 270 255 258,85 499438 27.Feb.07

Thanks,
BT

Hi,

somehow I am able to update the Metastock database.
I was doing the experiments.

The data I have downloaded from http://www.traderji.com/end-day/1146...eb-2007-a.html.

There, Ticker is like TICKER+EQ, TCS is TCSEQ.

I was using the EOD data from NSEBSE_EOD ***** group.

where the format is <TICKER>,<NAME>,<DATE>,<OPEN>,<HIGH>,<LOW>,<CLOS E> ,<VOLUME>,<O/I>

TCS is TCS.

So I cant use this txt file from ***** graup to update my MS database as Tickera are not matching.

If I change the Ticker to Ticker+EQ, then using Metastock downloader-Tools-Convert I can update my database.

The databse , I have is upto 22nd feb. So changing the Ticker to Ticker+EQ manually
is not OK.

Is there any solution?

BT
