Hello,

I dont think this rate is an artificial rate created in NSE . This rate has not traded in BSE.Pls check with BSE rates.

if you check out NSEindia.com you will find that it shows day high at 1194.80 but on the same time see the intra day chart as well .......

It don't have price above 1176.40

so that price quote is just an artificial one ....
actual day high of ONGC was not above 1176.40....

Dear,
The same thing happened to me several times.
I have 5 paisa a/c. Whenever I place a stop loss order, with enough allowance (so that small volatility would not affect my price), then the stock is sold immediately much below the market price. That is, within short period of time, the price touches the stop loss level I quoted and my stock is sold and the price doesn't go beyond that, and immediately it recovers like a flash and goes up. Whenver I place such stop loss order with scrip quoting more than Rs.100 it happens. Is it possible to foul play with stop loss orders? I checked with the market summary it shows exactly that, the price doesn't go below that after I sell it. i.e in that particular moment of time.

Members please throw your comments.

It is quite possible that a limit order is not executed even if the price touches the limit price. it entirely depends on volume.

For eg if the price goes to 100 and u have a sell order at 100, ur order should be executed...maynot always as there maybe no more buyers @100

So limit orders are usually placed with a range.
For eg: if i place a sell order for 100, i can specify once price touches 100, sell from 100 till 98. Same applies for buy order also. If price hits 100, buy till 101...

you should check out with your broker if they support range in limit orders.

Hope it is clear enough...
Happy Trading..
