Misplacement of physical shares of deseased parent
There are some shares in my mother's name & my father is no more. We have received dividend cheque for the same. But we couldn't find the physical shares. we've folio number. What will be the procedure to receive the information and to transfer the same in our account.

You will need to get in touch with the Registrar who is appointed by the Issuer (Company)
There will be a process to be followed....and Registrars will explain the due process......but be prepared for a long process to sort this out
Keep all details of your Dividend received.
Do Not part with any originals without a Properly Stamped Receipt.
There will be an affidavit that will be required apart from deceased person's DC & also you maybe required to put an advertisement for 'Lost Share Cetificates' in a couple of newspapers of 2 different Languages.
