Thanks everyone for your valuable comments. It was the first time I was investing hence the apprehensions. I got the agents credentials verified from the bank. Henceforth I've made a practice to write applicant's name and application number behind the cheque. I would like to know the procedure of demat account operation for MFs.

you stop the check requesting u r bank and have a demat account with motilal oswal for all u r work since they do not charge brokerage
