What do I do?

#1
Hi,

I have been investing in stocks and mutual funds from 2005 In 2009 Dec. the DP approached me and advised that by pledging my stocks I could trade in Options segment thru a Relationship Manager. Since I lost a lot of money during the 2008 crash, I agreed thinking that I would make good some of the losses. As of now, I have further lost abt 10 lacs in Options due to no fault of mine by listening to them in options call/put writing! Do you think I can go to the Consumer Forum to recover my losses? They record the conversations so will that help in proving my case? Somebody please help!

Thank you for your comments. I thought as much anyway. Since ICICI Direct is the DP I am talking about and the calls were taken by the Adviser himself with my consent, I thought there could be something here which is recoverable.
Any suggestions?

Malati,

Ravi Chandra is perfectly right. Instead of trying to take an action to recover some of your loss from your DP, I would suggest to take this as a lesson and just analyze what had happened.

By learning what to do and what not to do, guess you would be making good fortune.

Never, ever follow somebody's advice, when it comes for trading.
