Also let me clarify, i am not novice, i know the basics, but what i would prefer to learn pro methods/experiences.

I hope i made my point.

Once again thank you:)

Hi

You made your point and I guess it is understood.

You mention option chain and IV. This subject is basic knowledge about the option "Greeks". So as you mention you are not a novice, then I am sure you will know about this.

Coming to your next point which is about "Various Derivative Strategies to apply based on markets": Here the answers are of no end, as depending what market you trade with what kind of option strike they offer, you can create various option and hedge strategies. Less in India, as at least for the moment you not can trade options on more or less any future and other products and absolute true for the US market. So here it would be of good if you have any clear idea what market you would talk about and what kind of market strategy you may have in mind.

You are not obliged to answer any post here and before you do, I may ask: Did you ever read a bit in the book from "Guy Cohen" and his "Bible of Option Strategies". It is a definitive guide for practical basic and some more advanced option strategies trading in most ways.

Now the last topic you mentioned is the range mentioned from so called Bla bla. If they talk about a range, the they talk about any S&R levels from the time frame they choosed to talk about. That is the only thing you can consider as even for such ranges various option and hedge strategies are in the market for decades.

Hope this post helped you a bit and all the best / Dan

Edit: S&R are not only used in TA instead also in OI numbers from put and calls.

Noted,

Thanks for your quick response.

When I said i am not novice, i mean to say that you dont need to explain me what is Call & Put, (i said this because, here people comes from varied backgrounds and understanding).

Anyways point taken, Bible of Option strategy is with me and i refer to it whenever needed and even I do have Guy cohens book but not yet read.

S/R are taken from option chart that is what you are trying to say??

I raised this query, because I see that there are many members here who take lot of pain to explain each topic in detail, for example i was going through Saint - Learn to fish, there is Mr. oilman5 who shared his 20 years of experience and still i am exploring, so anything like this on Options.

Thanks
