Am new to this forum, just came across this forum today and thought to post my questions over here. Please guide me if you can and thanks in advance.
Sorry, its gona be a long story!!
Initially, I had a trading account with ICICI, then I switched to sharekhan just becoz the trading trade was low. During the account openning process, I gave them my cheque with my bank account number. But, my mistake, sharekhan updated me a wrong bank account number, even though they called me once to check and i clarified my account number.
Then I requested them to change that account number which took at least 2 months for them to update. But that time i dint know that we will have to update this new account number in 2 places and people from sharekhan also dint say me anything.
I lived with this for more than 2yrs then i noticed that none of the share dividends were reaching my account. When i asked the details, they said your new account number was updated only in 1 place but not in other, which was shocking to me. Then i was trying to update this account which took around 6-8 months as they never did anything on this.
Finally, i decided to change back to ICICI coz of this poor customer service from sharekhan. I went in person to sharekhan and submitted all required documents. They said, it will be done and I travelled out of country. Then when i started to check my status thru customer service, they requesed a CML form from ICICI. Then i provide that, then they said, they require with DP stamp in it. Finally, now i provided that too but now they say the copy is not clear, we require a new hard copy.
Am just going back and forth between sharekhan and ICICI which makes me worse.
Now, here are my questions,
1. I feel sharekhan is simply dragging my request without closing my account. What can i do on this?
2. I also requested them on what should i do about the dividend amount i lost over this 2 yrs coz of sharekhan but i dont see any proper response. Is ther anything i can do about this?
