you will find extensive discussions going on on Technical Analysis. you may find time to go through all old posts, which will be surely be the course material for all new comers into the market.

As a novice, it is obvious that you will come to this forum expecting 'tips' from other members. However, as Murthy has rightly said, once you take a tour of this site, you will realise the importance of 'fishing' yourself and the various threads will equip you with that knowledge, so that you do not have to rely on any 'friends' for tips.

To start off with, I suggest you go through the great Saint's great thread "Teach a man to fish and ...." in the 'Technical Analysis' section of this forum.
