Well, in search of an answer to some of the trading questions, I stumbled upon this website and ever since glued to it. Truly informative.
1) Primarily invested in stock market directly (HDFC SEC) as well as MF route. I've been a long term investor all this time. Real long term. With the present scenario I am cursing myself why did I not book the profits when my portfolio was above 100% pre Jan 2008 crash. It is past now.
2) My stock market investment experience goes back to 2004. Sensex was roughly 4000 points at that time (if I'm not wrong).
3)My interest primarily is secondary market. Want to get into Futures but fear is pulling me backwards.
Now the main point.
I've been working abroad till last year. Now settled in India. Started a trading business with a franchise of Inventure growth and securities. Have about 5 clients so far with 25000/ margin cheque and 10 clients with 10000/ margin cheque. I've cleared BCFM and going to appear NCFM next week. In the first month, all of my intra day calls went wrong. Position trading calls gave some returns but since last crash of about 1500 points, most of the principal got locked in.
I've changed my trading philosophy after reading so many strategies available here in this forum. I am not alone, loosing money!! The post by saint explaining candlestick chart helped a lot.
