midcaps not moving up

i have traded in midcaps.Even when the NIFTY/SENSEX moving up, the midcaps are not moving well in tune with the speed of NIFTY/SENSEX.

Pl.advise on trading whether in midcaps or bigcaps.Which is more advantage for trading
