A baby born in the trading world :)

Hi Everyone,

This is Naveen from Pune. I'm a 24 year old IT guy by proffession. I have been very passionate about trading for a long time. I didn't want to start without learning about the financial markets as I didn't have any background related to it. So I started learning the basics from IPO, Dividends, etc. Now I'm thorough with the basics and also looking forward to give some NCFM certifications for my satisfaction. I have also been following traderji for some time now though this is my first post. I have downloaded "Trading the Technicals - by Mr.Saint" and have been reading it. This has given me a fair idea about Technical Analysis.

At Present- Started an account with Funds India for Equities. Didn't want to get into day trading soon so I preffered Funds India as they don't offer intraday and also will give me a safe start in this trading world.

Near Future- Once I'm good with all the basics will start a Trading account with Zerodha as I have heard good stuffs about them in this forum and will start trading intraday.

Distant Future/Dream Future - Want to become a full time day trader. Also want to start my very own investment advisory / Fund house :)

I'm looking forward for advices, ideas and what not :) from all the great people on traderji.

Happy Trading.

Naveen,

Nice to see you talking sense in most of your statements. But I can assure you that day trading is one of the toughest job you can ever find. A day trader (or any trader) has to find the trend to trade. Now a day being only 6 hours and 15 min, has the least possibility of showing trends and a lot of whipsaws will disappoint you most of the time. IMHO, a beginner should try swing and positional trading before intraday.

Wish you a happy trading journey. :)

@ TradeJoker

Thanks a lot :)

@PGDIMES

I totally agree with you. As I already said I'm not going to start trading intraday until I'm sure about the technicals. I have bought "Trading the technicals by Martin J Pring". I will learn some technicals from that book as soon as I'm done with Mr. Saint's PDF. Till then I'll just trade position or swing with a very little capital. I do know how difficult it is as a full time trader, reading from what you guys discuss on Traderji. I hope to make it gradual and be successful :)
