Commodity Trading - basic information

Hello Everybody!

I am Pranab Paul, newly joined in this forum. I am delighted to be here, seeing so many valuable posts, which I wish to read in due course of time.

I am regular investor in share market and I do not do margin trading. Now I feel interested in commodity trading also. I have a few basic questions in my mind which I put here. I wish that somebody can help me out on this.

1. Without taking delivery of commodity, can trading be done in selected commodity within the settlement period? Or you have to do only future commodity trading.

2. I want to put Rs 50,000 as capital in commodity trading. Is it possible to earn Rs 5000 a month?

3. What is the basic mantra for success in commodity trading?

I will be very happy if somebody can spare his time and put some light on above.

national spot exchange has introduced e-silver and e-gold which is in line with our requirement.


10% return per month? that too without the use of leverage sounds difficult; unless you get hold of any commodity that sky rockets each month.

in commodities 10% per month is not difficult....but only RS.50,000/- of capital is not enough. if you double your capital....it could be better.
