Respected Traderji, Seniors and Friends,
I am a very small investor. I used to invest generally on scrips with good fundamentals for short to medium term and some of my money I used to allocate for long term in one or two scrips which seems undervalued and have good growth prospect.(however in past, invested in some worthless scrips without any fundamentals ---- sometimes made profit and sometimes loss, also learnt some good lessons out of that) Now for short term trading, technical chart reading is essential. I have some minimum knowledge of charts--- went through some articles and tutorials freely available in some sites. I feel this forum is a very good one for learning and to clear my doubts. For starting, a question ---- if I invest for short term based on trends, then should I invest only in stocks which are having a substantial amount of daily average volume? Because there are many scrips which are fundamentally strong, may form good trends but their daily average volumes are less--- may be approx. 2000 - 6000. I dont know whether I should have put up this question in this posting. To end, I would request all to correct me if am wrong anytime anywhere or if I write anything silly. Thanks and regards, Babun |

First of all,a very warm welcome to you,and wishing you all the best in your trading career. I am sure there are gains to be made even in stocks that have low volumes, but best to stick to the ones with good volumes in the beginning. There are many out there, and lots of profits to be made ......but that's just my humble opinion. All the best! Happy Trading! Saint |
