Default First Post -Introduction

Hello,
I am from Delhi and I'm working in Safdarjung Hospital.
I have never invested in stock market and never thought of it.
I became curious about the stock market when I realised that almost 90 % of doctors in my hospital were in some way investing in the market. Though these doctors don't have a clue about finances, but greed drive them in. I have never heard that anyone has made a substantial amount of money ( may be I am wrong) but in my personal view doctors are bad investors if they do'nt decide for themselves but rely on tips from brokers. Secondly, if you don't have time, investing in the secondary market, does not seem to be a good idea.
As for me I became curious about what other doctors do, so I decided to explore for myself. Surfing through the net, I came across this excellent site and was amazed to see that there were hundreds of people, just curious and thirsty for knowledge like me. Money of course could be the driving force, but certianly not doing something blindly.
I feel excited and overwhelmed at the amount of knowledge people are willing to share. And thanks to the webmaster. It is one of the best forums I have ever visited.
