Introduction
Hi,
I am a business owner and a pretty active investor. I own couple of businesses, nothing big, which I started after working as a Software consultant for 10 years. I am based out of the United States. I have been investing in the Indian and the US market since 1998, though my first (and best) stock purchase was made in 1992 when I was still in college. I bought 1000 shares of Satyam when it IPOed at Rs 10 , because the dean of our computer science department gushed about his batchmate Dr Raju starting this company and told us its going to be a great company. I am starting to delve into real estate investments in India but lack of any REITs is hampering me. I am into sector wise investment and feel that the stock market is over-bought in India. I would love to discuss about whatever little I know about the markets (I am no trader and don't do technical analysis) and would love to hear about what the heavy-weights in this forum think about sector-wise opportunities in India. I have started nibbling into yhoo from today (after the big sell-off) and I think its a compelling story and with ad revenues moving to the internet in a big way, yhoo (along with GOOG) should be a big winner Lurkingbong

Interesting observation.....Yes I am a Bong but the lurking part is because I am mostly a lurker in forums and not an active participant. Hope to change that in this forum
 Also interestingly bong has invoked a totally different reaction from participants in US based forums.... they think I am big into grass and all that. They get the lurking part though.Quote:
