Reader from Romania
Hello fellow traders,
My name is Pavel and I am from Romania, so you see, the forum is read all over the world  I have read many interesting subjects from you and I have decided finally to make my contribution. Let me first describe myself and my background. I am a software developer with a lot of interest and passion linked to the stock market. I have started trading this year in my home country, I have a growth of about 25% and an annualized growth of 45% (approximate values). My biggest problems (and I think yours too) are the emotional factor and the lack information. So I have decided to learn more about technical analysis and models in order to improve results. This forum has helped me allot, thank you. In the last period I have started working on a software app in which I can test different models. I know there is trade station, metastock, wealth lab, but my app is simpler and beeing a software developer allows me to do exactly what I want in my simulations. I have made some models based on Moving averages, MACD, RSI, Stochastics, Ichimoku .. .and some compound model which takes in account different signals, gives them priorities based on previous results and (of course) gives signals of it's own. I'm sorry if it sounded like an advertising. It was only ment as an introduction a way to present myself, what I'm doing and what is my experience with the stock market. The app it can not be used on the indian market, as it is, but if someone is realy interested and wants to modify it I will email the sources.

Welcome to the forum. Yes it is nice to see that the forum is seen all over the world. This forum is truly global. It is because the information shared by the members is not mainly restritried to Indian markets. There is so much information on technical analysis, trading physology, risk and money management which are universal. Also the willingness of the senior members, notably Amit and saint, to share their knowledge makes this forum really great. Looks like you are doing some great work. Like joy said if you could make it suitable for indian markets it would be of great help to the newcomers to start off their trading learning with great ease. Charting softwares are quite expensive and is the main stumbling block for most newcomers. There are so many software experts in this forum whocould help you to adapt it to the indian market. Welcome to Traderji. Nice software you have got there. Is your OS Linux? At least from your BlueCurve theme it seems so. I do lot of trading system modeling myself using mostly non-UI based programs that I have coded myself. It is nice to meet someone doing the same. There are few others on this forum doing the same so there is going to be lot of sharing & learning here. Again, we are glad to have you here. SwingTrader
