I am from Mumbai and even at 36, pretty new to trading as such.
1) My Trading experience so far has been almost nil except for some tax saving MFs and a couple of IPOs.
2) I started in Jan 2008 bought Rpower, sold it at listing and traded a few stocks got burnt and then stopped altogether. I started again with the CIL IPO and this time I want to be a bit more careful and try not to get scared with a few bad calls.
3) As I am fairly new I don't have a particular area of interest since I don't know much to make an informed decision. So I would like to understand a bit about trading in stocks/futures/options and in that order as stocks are for a layman like me relatively easy to understand when you only consider delivery. Margins trading, Futures etc are something that I would like to learn a bit more as thats where all the excitement seems to be.
4) Dont have much to base my decision making pattern but I think I will start with the fundamentals and then gradually venture towards TA and stuff.
5). I discovered this forum while googling.
