NRI Investing question

#1
Hello All,

I am a newbbie, I had a Trading account for the last 8 months and for the last 6 months I am working from USA on a deputation (may last for 6 months or more depends on the client ). Can I use my trading account to buy/sell stocks/options as my status becomes NRI now. Is there a option to provide power of attorney to a relative in India.Or is there any other option you can suggest to invest in India being the fact that I am currently in USA but definetly be returing to India with in next year or 2.

Thank You,
BL.

Open an account through HSBC both in US and in India, you can then deposit in $ or rupees in HSBC india and they will assist you investing in shares or mutual funds in India. Also you can earn high rate of interest in NRO account but first open NRE account with rupees , then have them transferred to NRO or into shares.
Go to HSBC india site, all the info. is there.
