Market always depends on many things and its go up and come down on global cause and local cause plus government policies and based on that some sectors can remain bullish or bearish for 3 to 6 months.
If you ask may be someone will give you some stocks names if you are really looking for long term which is 3 to 5 years then select companies from nifty 50 list where you will find all big companies. You can do basic study of company and invest money. But always divide money in at least 5 different stocks and invest.
Only invest in market when you will see gold is started going down. If its going up stay away if you follow you will always end with profit.
