want to invest in stocks pl.advise

#1
Hi

i am NRI and willing to invest Rs. 25 lakh in indian stock market.

i do not have demat account, securities trading account and PIS.

i have got HDFC NRE (Non-resident expatriate) & S.B.I. NRE savings account.

i sent online query to HDFC bank that i am interested in stocks and would like to open a demat and Trading account.

They sent me their response along with some documents.

To my understanding i can link my existing HDFC NRE savings account with demat & trading account.

Also they mentioned PIS account.

i am very much confused in this regard.

how many new accounts do i need to open?

1. Demat account
2. Trading account

is the above two accounts are enough or do i need more.

To my understanding i have to have a PIS(portifolio investment scheme) account since i am an NRI .

Please explain the procedure how it works and how do they charge per transaction?

Awaiting response in this regard.

Thanks,

PTV RAO.
