If you are gonna do day trading better choose a stock which has more volume. You can find them in NSE rather than finding in BSE. For the last question expert's in this forum will answer.

^ Volume means no. of shares traded. Daily volume indicates, no. of shares traded on a particular day. If there is very less or no volume in a stock, we would probably be trapped. That's the reason I asked you to trade in a liquid stocks (stocks move now and then with decent to high no. of market participants)

I am sure you are new to trading. Better read some books. You can find 'em here in this forum in BOOKS section.

Some of the shares costing less than 100 which are traded heavily for intraday by traders are IFCI, Suzlon, Unitech.

However I would suggest that you do not get into intraday. Only about 5-10 percent traders make profit in intraday, and these are professional traders. Very difficult for a normal investor to even save his principal in intraday.

The best returns come from momentum trading i.e. horizon of 1 month to 4 month. The reason is that

It is a well researched fact, that shares usually rise/fall sharply for periods of about 3 months. This is followed by long periods of time when the share price stagnates. So momentum trading is aimed at getting in a share at the right time, holding it for the time period when it is rising quickly and then moving on to the next opportunity. This way your capital is always growing fast.
