Default First time post, looking forward to be an active participant

Hi! I came across this site while browsing and immediately registered.

I have been investing for the last 4 years mainly in Shares and Mutual Funds. I have some investible funds with me and looking forward to be more active in the share market.

I also want to understand the F&O segment and hope to invest some in that segment too.

Thanks and hopefully this will be an enriching experience!

regards

Mukesh

Hi Saint,

Thanks for the welcome response.

You, along with Amit & Ravi seem to be doing a great job on this board. Giving so much time to others for no fee is really a great change from what most of the others do nowadays.

I have a smalll query. I would like to invest about 4-5L in shares but pretty scared right now with markets being at so high. What would be your suggestions?

regards

Mukesh

Hi Mukesh,

Thank you for those very kind words.....most appreciated.About your investments,my opinion:Think the market has run up quite a bit......Let it pullback before you put money in.Mean while, educate yourself.Books, this forum,etc......Do a bit of mock trading for now!!

Personally think this market is headed higher......but entry for a long term investment should not be here........Not yet.Hold on to that money.Sit on your hands for now.

All the best!!
Saint

Welcome to the forum.
Go through previous threads ,you will get enough information about f & o.

According to my personal expirience
FUTURE TRADING :
Risk and Rewards in future trading are high.
For future trading you must have following fascilities.
1. Online trading
2. Online softwares like IRIS, Falcon.

OPTION TRADING:
1.Become option writer than buyer.
In option writing risk involved is high, returns are fixed.
Yet writer makes money, because premium erodes as expiry comes near.

For both knowledge of tech analysis is essential.

Best Wishes.
