Right to receive hard copy of contract note

Of late the brokers send communication electronically digitally signed but donot send the hard copy of documents required to be preserved say C N or Ledger a/c , Is it not mandatory for them to send hard copies if demanded by the investor.
?
Also they are charging for issue of duplicate Pass word. How far is it legal ?
