intraday chart

can any one plz tell which chart with period what to set for intraday trading

Chart period for what? Indicator? What charting software are you using?

i am new to intraday and i am confused with period to set.
should i trade with the help of 1min chart ,3 min chart or 5min chart.
i have used simple moving avg 10 -fast,20-slow i.e. a lagging indicator and Relative strength index set to 20 on 1 min chart but the indicators where not that usefull. plzzzzzzz help

i also use a strict stop loss that is helpful to prevent losses .mostly i belief in trailing the stop loss but still my losses are more than my profits.
