Welcome!

I don't think you can get good deal of knowledge in this forum. IMO, better stay here. Spend some time here, to know, to test, to decide!

If you read the second part of his sentence then it answers your doubt.
- Better stay here.
- spend some time here.

I agree with gsalvadi. You can get good amount of experience sharing from fellow traders here. And there is enough of knowledge as well.
This will benefit only when you put your effort into it by taking the pain to read threads, and ask questions/clarifications..

Its true that there's lot of information in this site and i went through a couple of threads. But the issue is I am finding it a bit difficult to digest & understand how different charts work as I am entirely new with candle stick charts, OHLC charts.e.t.c..... and I desperately want to learn how I can make use of it.

It would be of great help to those interested, if any members based in bangalore could conduct a weekend class (as comfortable) or a demonstration of the various charts and how to do analysis coz live sessions would prove more effective in learning.

Request Senior members to take up the initiative if possible.

Thanks,
Jayaraj

dont waste money on such training. learn chart reading. you will find lots of stuff here.

al the best
There are lots of important content out here but there are several posts which doesnt have a chart to demonstrate what they actually want to convey to the new members and it is really difficult to understand.

I hope many of the new members would be interested for a training session if one among the senior members in this forum could take up the initiative. Once we get the fundamentals it would be easier for us to come up with new ideas and understand the matter that are discussed on different threads else at certain points it gets black out.

This is a request to all the senior members in this group.

Jayaraj

Plz chk out the thread on TJ on topic like "teach a man to fish..." plus PDF version of it.
This thread explained the chart reading without using any indicators.. Pure price action.. which is lot faster then most other lagging indicators out there.

Someone has created pdf of this thread. So chk that thread/pdf and practice chart reading. Feel free to raise your doubts.

I will suggest to read some older thread started by people whom u don't see active now a day. Check out the thread http://www.traderji.com/beginners-guide/23815-absolute-beginner-guide.html which is nice material for beginners.

Very few currently active threads talk about the basics. So don't try to learn trading/technical analysis from them. Though they are good to see the different views of other people and get into the details of the discussed topic.

Hi AW10,

First of all thanks for the info..
I checked out the thread "Teach a man to fish" but theres no chart diagram which demonstrates uptrend & downtrend eventhough its there in theory. Since I am entirely new to candlestick charts i dont understand how to figure out what the candles mean with each tail showing a different direction each time. Is there a thread which illustrates basics of candlestick charts??
I couldnt get the pdf version of "teach a man to fish". Please provide link.. I am also going thru the beginners guide..

Thanks,
Jayaraj
