Hello everybody

#1
I have been trading/investing from 2005. My trading/investing experience has been pretty dismal at the worst to so-so at the best. So why am I continuing? That's because I find this interesting. I am learning more and more everyday and every mistake I make is a new lesson to be utilised in making profits in future.

My primary area of interest is of course Equity (Long), but I am also very interested to learn how to short successfully. Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated. My new interest nowadays is F&O and although I have some academic knowledge in the same from 2004 I bought (not sold) my first NIFTY option in October 2009. Pretty risk averse eh!

Commodities is another area I would like to enter when I have some time to study it.

How do you make your trading decisions - mostly based on technicals and some broad fundamentals like topline and bottomline growth. A rigorous valuation to find the intrinsic value has always eluded me due to lack of time but that is what I would eventually start doing.

Doing some google search on a particular term I think.
