Hi everyone, allow me to intro myself:
I am Parvez J., a computer engr. based out of Bangalore and working for a software dev. company here (where else??). I have been investing in mutual funds for the majority of my young career here (~3 yrs of investing), mostly for tax purposes with ELSS funds. This has been my exposure to the market thus far.
I've had a Sharekhan acct. for almost a year now, but unfortunately didn't get around to using it until very recently. I know - I am quite dumb for letting some money (not much, 20k) sit idle in my SK account till now, having missed the crash days of Sensex at 7.5k. yes, u may ask why - i was going thru a period of financial difficulties at that time and a few months after.
nonetheless, I have now tried to directly enter the mkt by buying a few shares with a long term perspective, with another few shares bought for short term speculation purposes (I'm experimenting
).
I shall try and post my questions and share with u my portfolio for ur comments in other threads to invite (hopefully) healthy discussions. Until then - a bit more about me:
- 28 years old, grew up in India and Middle East.
- Lived all over the world before coming back to BLR to start a career.
