Hi Friends,
Do you know anyone who really earns money from day trading or spread betting? I loose consistently and even when I make gain it is just marginal but loosing it is big amounts.

Hi,
Welcome to the group.

There are people on this forum who profit from day trading and generously post their strategies and progress. You'll need to search through and do some reading.

I would suggest starting with a thread by one of the seniors, Saint called Teach a man to Fish, about identifying trends. Then go onto search for discussions on money management. Seniors say this is a very important part. Then search for strategies and back test/papertrade the ones you like to see if they work for you.

I'm a long term investor, position trader at best, so don't know much about daytrading.

I will suggest the following :

1) Do some Technical Analysis study and take a trade as per that....

2) Keep a logical chart point as a stoploss....when hit...take the loss...and when the trade goes in your favour,add the quantity at variour places...this way you will have less loss and more profits from your trades.....

3) Follow some method,backtest it and trade as per that method.

There are many in this forum who make consistant profits from daytrading and also swing trading .....
