Hi all,
I think I got here from a mention in icharts forum. Wonderful to see so many knowledgable and polite posts.
I've been trading UK & US, Stocks & options for over 20 years. Got interested in Indian market last year after the fall from 21k. Got BSNL broadband (256kb) and all my stuff is in ICICI, Bank, Demat etc.
I keep trading simple as poss. Look at world economy, local economy then at stock (scrip?). TA again simple. Use 5,10 ema's short term (entry/exit) and 50/200 long term, and sometimes 20. Like Volume, MACD and stochastics but am interested in the value of the huge amount of other indicators.
I stick to large caps with good liquidity for longer term investment, but book profits sooner rather than later. Used to do a lot of options in US market but haven't looked at Options in Indian market. Seems like a lot of interest in Futures market in India. Don't know much about it, always seems overly risky to me. Tend to stick to long trades but have occasionally gone short.
Thanks to all those posters for their knowledge and generosity.
