New in this site. Am looking to learn about equity markets and other investment instruments . I have some exposure to the maket by investing in IPOs ,N=Mutual Funds and occasionaly by buying stocks which I have been told is a good investment - only very large companies. I hope to study the market and gradually become a more active investor.
The first thing I would like to get an indication some information on is The volume and turnover of stocks traded on both the BSE and NSE. If there is a place I coud go to that gives me:
Stock Name Avg Daily Volume Avg Daily value Yearly high Yearly low.
Information should be as recent as possible.
To start with I would like a comprehensive list of these. I have been told that there are many listed companies where there is almost 0...or even 0 trade. I would like the information on these as well.
The next thing I would like to know is where I can obtain real time data on these stocks. I wouls like to know who offers data in the following format(or who offers data that can easily be converted into the following format):
StockName/Codte , Last traded price, Volume. Best bid price, Volume,
Best offer price, Volume.
If I could get a list of Vendors for this it would be great. And a rough idea of cost...is it per stock per day/month or what.
