hi all,
I am a new member of this forum. I want some information regarding intraday trading.suppose I have some shares of a company in my account. But I have not much money in my account. Can I sell these share and buy it back in a profit position in a day trading.please note that I have not that much of money in my account to buy the share back. I just want to sell my shares and want to buy it back on the same day with the selling money. is it possible in icicidirect. My another question is what is marging andspot option in icicidirect.

Yes, you can short-cover shares on intraday basis. You can pocket the price difference. And you only have to pay Intraday brokerage instead of delivery brokerage which is 1%.

But this is dangerous also. If price starts rising you may not be in a position to do so i.e buy shares once again.. This is actively done when one anticipates that price will fall hereafter.
THINK OF THIS situation.
