The Introduction

#1
1) Your trading/investing experience.
I entered the market when Sensex was 18000. Since then I have been actively trading. I learnt many things at the cost of losing. Thats my experience so far. Everyday is a new day for market. Somewhere I had read that the trader should never carry a position home. I realise its true.

2) The number of years you have been investing or trading in the markets.
Two Years.
3) Your area of interest - IPO's/secondary market/futures/options/commodities, etc.
Secondary Market & Futures.
4) How do you make your trading decisions.
Its purely based on the volatility of the stock after closely watching its movement & the Index. I decide my own levels to enter & exit. No technicals.
5) How you discovered this forum.
Through my borther.
6) ETC, etc.
Market risks are very high.

Welcome to the forum Zaheer.

Market risks are very high. --> Solution, learn risk mgmt. There is no return without risk. otherwise, we all be putting our money in bank FD and see its purchasing power evaporate everyday due to inflation.

Happy Trading

Thanks AW10 for the warm reply. As you said that trading is all about risk management. I agree. I also feel that many traders are trading without sufficient knowledge about the market risks involved or without knowing the complete mechanism of Stock Market. I m not exception. I think one should enter the market only after Studying & Passing the NSE or BSE certifications. Infact I m yet to clear those exams. I have cleared only AMFI Advisor Module but thats useful for Mutual Funds distribution only.
