Hello ppl, I am Vicky from Hyd.

My trading experience is nil. My interest is basically the stock markets, the equity markets.

I aspire to be a intraday trader but with a capital of 25k , that seems a bit improbable, I am told.

I have been following some forex forums wherein I have learned a lot about the behavior of the market and I am hoping to apply the same in taking my trading decisions.

Coming to the story on how I found this forum...well its a long one:
My father was a stockist, a stock dealer not in a bulls and bears sense but rather in daily amenities sense(soaps, paste, oils etc).
He passed away last October.
Me, who has never looked into my family business was required to go through the accounts. At first I cudnt make out heads or tails of it but after sometime it started to make sense.
We did a business of 72-80 lakhs yearly for a local company, with a measly return of 1-1.5% (72k-88k). After cutting out the man power costs our profits dwindled to around 60k. A return of 60k after too much of hard work and haggling.
One of my uncles suggested to take a part of the same capital and put it in a fixed deposit. He said, "this not only saves your capital but guarantees a fixed return on investment." Not a bad idea, I said.
One day, I read an article by a finance advisor. Therein, he argues that "A FD might seem like a viable option to many but investor miss out on inflation". He goes on to say "FD provides people with a incentive of capital being secured for 2-3 years but the buying parity of the same amount is eroded owing to inflation". In that article, he says stock markets to be the best market to invest in with the market in turmoil and the best company being offered at low prices.
So, thinking of it to be a viable investment option , I thought of starting with a low capital (like 5-10k) and learn from thereon. Asking around and reading, I zero in on intraday cause of my inherent impatient nature.
But am told a minimum of 25k is required. Is it correct??
Anyhow, with my long list of questions running on and on, I keep googling for info and here I am now on this forum.

Feeling good to be here and hope to learn more and more.
