Sharekhan daytrading

Hi all ,

I am a beginner in daytrading and now have started taking some positions . I am using Sharekhan . But have a few problems . It would be great if someone can clarify . I bought some stocks today morning and tried to keep a stop loss , but this order was rejected saying that the sell quantity was lesser than the bought quantity . Is this just because of some random issue or iam doing something wrong ?

Your doubt is rather unclear.(May be you opted for delivery mode).Perhaps the you tried to sell more than you have bought.(Intraday Trading : SELL and BUY in the same day)

If you go for DELIVERY mode ,do not expect the shares to be in your
account immediately.It will take atleast 2 days to be in your account.
During that period you can not sell the share even though you bought
it earlier.

You can sell share without HOLDING them ,and it is known as SHORT SELLING.For that you have to indicate it is a SHORT SELL by choosing
the appropriate MENU.

In all we have 3 operations .

1.BUY

2.SELL

3.SHORTSELL.

There could be another problem, u could have purchsed shares in NSE & r trying to sell the same in BSE or vice -versa.
To know in which exchange u have purchased from check DSPR link in ur ac.
U can transfer ur shares from NSE to BSE by logging into ur ac select report, then select DSPR & U CAN TRANSFER UR EQ SHARES FROM nse TO bse OR VICE VERSA.

As such NO.If you DON'T square off your position witn in same day then automatically it is taken
for granted that it is for DELIVERY.

HI,

I am getting the same error on several stocks. I chcked that i have all of them in BSE and i have their contract notes as well. I am wondering if there is a min amount of the value of the trade i need to meet for trading? These stocks i am trying to share are low priced and i bought them long back when i started trading. so their entire value is from 500-1000. Is that too low for a trade? The exact error i am getting is:
" XXX has been rejected by Sharekhan Risk management - saleable qty is less than buying qty "

iam trading for the last 8 months. i was not a trader actually, more like a investor. very recently i started trading, of course ended in losses. the question that suffers me is, which indicator to follow. i've followed RSI, MA, EMA and MACD still i didn't find any good result. if one says to go in one direction another will say to in another direction. im in totally confused state. can anyone help me???/..

Suppose take a illiquid stock.If you want to purchase 1000 qty and total offer
qty is 500,then you will probably get this type of message.Please check with
Sharekhan,the customer care of SK is rather good.
