Hello everyone. Im looking for Help.

Hello my name is Mike or you can call me MJ. I recently found this website in my search across the internet on investing in India. I have been a investor in the US for several years and because of the recent downturn in the markets Im looking to diversify more in international markets. I have invested in the futures and commodities market greatly and happen to work for a company that has several successful commodity funds. I joined this sight because I am interested in learning more about the Indian markets and to gain some great advice and maybe make a large profit in the process.

I need you help on two things please.

1) What are the top brokerage firms in India that I should be dealing with? Also is there a website for these firms that I gain more information about the brokerage firms of India?

2) What are the top commodity and futures fund in India and how do I find more information on them? In the US there is a website and magazine that ranks the top funds called Futures Magazine. Is there something similar in India?

Thank you very much for all your help in advance.

MJ :)

MJ, there are many brokerage house but googling on Indian brokerage house will help.
And if they are not keeping pace with the trend and don't figure in page 1 of google then they are not worth exploring for high end institutional need. They might fit the requirement of retail
traders but platform, service, products offered, professional mgmt etc will limit you trading at various stages.

There are magzines available for retail investor.. but not anything for serious Traders. (mags like Futures, Active trader etc).
To get Indian fund ranking, you can visit site like Moneycontrol, valueresearchonline, or mutual funds section of various brokerage house sites (like icicidirect, indiabulls, hdfcsec, reliancemoney etc). Probably, you will be able to get the details about exchange members from MCX, NSE, BSE exchange sites.

Suggestion - Please manage your expectations well and don't compare US mkt with Indian mkt in terms of amount of information, product maturtiy, service offering etc. No market in the world (including UK, DAX, AUS ) come anywhere close to US mkts..

Hope it helps.

Happy Trading
