Hello All! demat account opening for NRI
This is a wonderful website with detailed information and a very knowledgeable community ready to share and help make intelligent financial decisions. I consider this an honor to be part of this community.
Having been in the United States for the past eight years, I have invested in mutual funds and stocks in this country...mostly catering to portfolio management. From a short-term-gain-realization point of view, I have not had the opportunity to stick out good returns in this market. I believe the Indian market will help solve this purpose. I have never traded in India earlier...I understand I need to open a Demat account with a financial organization (icici/indiabulls/5paisa/et al)...but for all the information that I have gathered, the list of documentation for opening the account seems foreign to me. I do not have a PAN card, nor do I have a ration card...I need your guidance in understanding this process. Thanks! Kuntal
