Lightbulb Stock Mantra

Hi Guys,

This is subu and I have been investing in the stock market for the last few years. I am sure that with good understanding and patience, one can make good profits. I look at both fundamentals and technicals while making my choice, although I have a inclination to technical analysis. A few things that I have learnt:

1. Invest in a Stock only after studying it yourself. Do not rely on recommendations. Be well informed on your stocks.
2. Book profits once you have reach your targets. If you really like the stock you may either re-enter or book partial quantities.
3. Keep checking your portfolio often. Exit Stocks with less losses than holding on to it and suffering more losses.
4. For guys like me who have limited time to study the market, it would be prudent to invest for mid-term / long-term.
5. Opportunities are there everyday. So, if you miss the bus today, you may get a better one tommorrow.

All the best.
