Hey Folks
My Name's Deepak and I'm a fairly new investor (1.5 years), investing in IPOs and Secondary markets. I don't generally use technicals, but I've set up some Excel sheets and programs that will download stock prices of the stocks I own and those that I'm interested in, and give me updates/alerts etc.
I'm mostly into research and longer term investments - I rarely, if ever, churn my portfolio. Largely I set up exit points, and get out when I think a stock has reached where I wanted it to - like recently I got out of Sintex at 400, having purchased at Rs. 110 (on a pretty impressive tip from Sharekhan). No regrets that the stock's up further - I'm happy with what I get. I keep fiddling around with excel and some other programs to help me track my investments - and being a software developer, I even end up writing some programs for the purpose. I'm interested in technicals, and think this forum is pretty interesting. Thanks for having listened so far, and I hope I can contribute my bit too. Cheers, Deepak
