Hello Friends,

I am Ramesh ,new to investing in direct stocks, I have some investments in Mutual Funds but never invested in stock Market so my knowledge on stocks is ZERO.

I am sure with your support and with the help of this website/forum I can learn some thing.

I am an NRI and just opened my Trading/Demat account with HDFC. Want to start investing in 5 stocks.

2 very good fundamental stocks
2 good stocks with 2 years financial results history.
1 like hit and trail (ready to gain and loose on this).

Before starting to invest I would like to have minimum knowledge on stock market and shares.

Please advise me on how to proceed and what should be my first step.
