COMPARED TO ICICI, I THINK HDFC IS QUITE OK. BROKERAGE, 0.05 (INTRADAY) & 0.50 (DELIVERY). MIN. BROKERAGE. Rs.15+TAXES/TRADE. THEIR SERVER IS ALSO GOOD THAN ICICI. YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN A MIN. BALANCE OF Rs.5000/QUARTER IN BANK A/C. PHONE TRADING FACILITY IS ALSO AVAILABLE.

NOTE: I HAVE A TRADING A/C WITH HDFCSEC. BEFORE TAKING ANY DESICIONS CAREFULLY JUDGE MY OPINIONS.

BIYAS,

HI I am also interested in investing in stock market. opening an account with indiinfoline.com will be good. you can register at the site and find the charges and compare. I've heard they are offering good prices.

Thanx Biyan and Ishan
Wat do u think about Motilal Oswal?
They have a tie up with ICICI bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank etc for immediate transfer of funds.
So, would that be a good thing as i got to know that the brokerage at Motilal is only 0.01(intraday)

Hi Ajaysena1

I am having a 3-in-1 account in both sharekhan as well as kotak.

Kotak charges are in the higher side comparing to sharekhan.

But lot of convenient is there in kotak account because they are are managers of all the 3 account. it is convenient to transfer fund any time either way.

I feel it take little long process to transfer fund in sharekhan eitherway.

With regards

puduags

Hi , I have HDFC trading account, The brokerage is more or less same as ICICI, But HDFC has very poor portfolio management tool, You cannot do MF trading in same login, For IPO its different screen. You feel lot of user-UNfriendly feature in HDFC.

I suggest you to go for some sharekhan or ICICI iteslf, It is better for occasional trader

HDFC, Its not actually 3 in 1 account, its 3 in 3 account, You ahve seperate login for sharetrading, a seperate screen to apply ipo(and track IPO status) no info on IPO approval/subscription. NO sharemarket tips, and Last But important is, MF trading is possible from bank login and not thru trading account login.

except for security, NOthing is great with HDFC, even brokerate is at PAR with ICICI, hence, You can go for ICICI
