Default web based trade portal

Hi All,

This is my first post in Traderji though I am not new to the Traderji site.
People here are put a lot of effort to make this site wonderful. Here I have got a lot of link to download data from various sources using many free tools. Thanks for all.

I am the regular user of MoneyControl website for my trade analysis purpose but now that site is becoming more irritating with a lot of flashy advertisements. I have account with ICICIDirect & two more brokers, but I am not really happy with them. Brokers do not allow user community to participate in any discussion. Instead they will have some salaried experts who will guide us what to buy or what to sell. I never like to go with brokers words. They cannot replace the real user community like here.

MoneyControl will never care for users complaints. I requested many times to add a few more technical analysis tools, but they never give me reasonable reply.

I feel we needed a good website which would allow us to access/download trading data from our desktop terminal as well as view from web browsers.

There are many desktop tools are available for trade analysis for users convenient but we needed data to feed the desktop software for analysis. (Some tools auto-download trade data). One problem with the desktop terminals is that we can not carry data along with us. The other common problem I have seen is converting the exchange data to the our softwares portable format. We have to hang on many people or wait for a long time to getting this done.

I would like to collect the requirements/wish-list from the real users who participate in the stock trading & investing for a web-based or a web-service oriented website with the following compulsory features.

1. User community
2. Trade data
3. Mutual Fund data
4. User Portfolio analysis (Virtual money)
5. Unlimited access to the historical data
6. Web based tools for Technical analysis
7. Convert & download the data for the users' desktop data terminal tools & let users to download freely without trouble
8. Listen for the user requirements and implement the new features at very minimal interval.
9. Very fast access
10. Allow a web service & provide open source tools for the user to access, analysis, customize the trade information
11. Primary Goal: MAKE USERS HAPPY & surprise them with new features

Whatever the features I have listed out are from my personnel experience which I have learnt from other web-sites hopeless services.

Like me, many would have requirements for their dream trading software which they may not able to develop/seen due to technical ability or not-availability of the time or any other reasons.

Could you please take some time and list-out what you need from a good trading community web site?

Technically & financially I have capability to develop such a site using open source platform. My choice is always Linux/Python. I also have desire to open source the client side tools to the user community for their customization. I could use many existing trading libraries like ta-lib and provide a lot of technical analysis tools through web-site.

Let me know what you people are feeling about this initiative? Give me your ideas or requirements or wish-list or objections, whatever you feel like.

With Warm Regards,

somendra
