I guess its based on number of post and threads they create its based just on quantity rather than quality but anyway forum moderators and admin might have better ans to it

Purely by the number of posts,my friend. When you cross the magic no of 100,you are called a Senior......well,that's that.Means nothing else other than that. You could talk crap for a 100 posts and be called a senior.....

Basically, look at the quality of the posts and judge accordingly.........post count is nothing!

I guess your question must have sparked some debate in the inner circle, as you can see now everyone who register's is a member without a junior and senior. i just observed starting today.

yes even i observed that every body is now a member instead of senior or junior.
and i do think its a step in right direction becoz. its unfair to be called a senior just on the basis of no. of posts.
i think members should be rated on the basis of quality of their posts & replies and that too by other members of the forum
i think this a serious matter and every member should post his views in this post

this is a step in the right direction, it's good to leave it there. quality is not definable and there is a real danger to let it determined "by other members of the forum". the majority of the members in the forum are decent guys who want to express their opinion, try to find out others opinions and see if they could gain anything here. there are a small minority who have an agenda who can rig the forum if you let them vote about the quality, by creating different accounts

we can also find some pumpers and dumpers here, they buy a stock's shares and they try to add their 2 cents to the company's performance by creating accounts and post about that stock everywhere , i just heard about merger, demerger, buyout, etc etc even if the stock goes goes 20% they create inside info for you like the operators are getting it down so that you sell it off , they don't want you to profit later etc

second types the suckers, working as a group promoting someone as the master trader, who gets his calls 110% right cornoring unsuspecting ambitious newbies.

prudent judgement is required when you see sentences like

i just made 4.99 lakhs because of your call,

just a general observation, be safe, don't read too much into everything , don't give out personal info, lastly it does not matter what salutation we have as long as our porfolio is growing +ve 99.99% every month, if you think i am greedy, i will get it down to a realistic 99.9% . monthly

thanks

nah, leave things as they are........quality et al are subjective terms,it cannot be rated,weighed......
