Hi,
I am not in the business of fortune tellers
I dont really care about the markets.
I care about companies I pick and I pick them not because the market is doing well, but the company is expected to do well.

Great stuff. Frankly i couldnt agree more. Someone once told me; and i totally subscribe to his point of view.... there are only 3 reasons one should want to 'stay invested' in a company. (1) Would you like to work in that company ? (20 would you like to buy what that company sells (30 would you like to associate with that company business wise ?
assuming that hypothetically you could do these three AND if then your answer is YES then that is reason enough to buy in and hold.
That apart i would also like to buy into companies that are sound and expected to do well.
Interestingly, sometimes it is easier to predict the market (only easier NOT easy
) than a single scrip. Then i think nifty futures are a better bet.
cheers
