Default Merry X'mas & happy new bull year 2007

Hi every one
I entered via IPO's into the market, made some profit.
Then switched to secondary market made some minor profit.
Then gone to margin trading, all money given to broker, not came back any.
Then to recover tried F&O. with tips made huge loss in the market correction, came back to my senses.
now trying to analyse my mistakes and trying to become an invester in the market in medium term and long terms

so I am here

Why medium or long? What has time to do with anything?

The purpose is to make money right, so the idea should be to find profitable strategies rather than preconceived time horizons.
