GFDL adds NSE Cash RT data. Rs.31,900/- for NSE CM+FNO per year

Hi Traderji Members,

At last, Global Datafeeds has finally added NSE Cash Market Segment's realtime + EOD data to all their products. The realtime data contains all series (EQ,BE,BL & MF series). To my surprise, it also contains pre-open data (from 9AM to 9:15AM).

They have some limited period offer till 15.02.2012. As per that, one can subscribe for NSE CM + FNO realtime data by paying Rs.31,900/- per year. Segmentwise and monthwise datafeed offers are also listed on their website.

As per their update email, they have also introduced some 'dictionary feature' to take care of MetaStock limitation of 14 characters symbol name. So users can now see realtime charts of symbols with lengthy names (particularly NSE Options) in MetaStock.

Congratulations GFDL Team on this new addition and all the best !!!

Thanks,
CA

But do you know any cheaper alternative with same features ? Please share then for everyone's benefit. I dont want to compromise on symbol range, data quality, latency, ease of backfill and lastly product support. I did a survey, also took trials of almost all the vendors listed on this forum (at least 10-12 different vendors). I wanted to test eSignal also because I heard their quality is good but their cost is even higher (as I need NSE Options data too) - coming to roughly Rs.11,500/- per month or approx.Rs.1,30,000/- per year. So I dropped the plan because even if the product is good, I cannot afford this cost for data. Comparatively, GFDL is damn cheap - just 20-25% of eSignal and most importantly, I don't think I am compromising on any of key trading parameters.

I have seen countless people moving around from one data provider to another, and then to another and so on. We spend most of our precious time in such activities than trading. Surely it burns a hole in the pocket but if we are thinking of doing trading as a serious business, we need to invest in key resources required for our business - or not ?

Thanks,
CA
