There has been a discrepancy observed between the data provided on the NSE website archives and the data on the bars in Amibroker using Chartsdata data fetching from ODIN.

Is it the same with data from Yahoo also ? Users please check and correct me if I am making any mistake.

As far Sensex/Nifty data are concerned ,the spot value
is value you see on terminal but the Closing value is the
average of last 30 minutes. This holds good for respective
stocks also,I suppose. If there is a Big Spike in dying minutes
otherwise both values are reasonably SAME with small variation.

one important issue with chartsdata is , whenever there is a disruption, either through power shutdown, or internet connectivity losses, then if you are using odin to fetch futures data, till the time you get it up and running, there will be data holes.

For futures , I believe there is no backfilling as yahoo backfilling gives only equity cash data..

Provided you have a facility to plug those holes through some other source by backfilling future quotes.. buy sell decisions taken with data holes will not be a correct one..

This is most important and must be taken care of..

@ JD
Yes such holes do occur and they can prove to be dangerous.
As far as I know Viratech provides autobackfill for all their data products but they are way too expensive.

In such a case Chartsdata is very expensive.( I understand it is around Rs. 5000 .. for using it for one year.. ) for a software which cannot provide a holes free database..

I dont know how many would have gone for the registered version..

InvestBulls is RT data source for AmiBroker for 450/- pm.
You can check their website for further details like backfill, support etc.

I am not assocaited with them in any way except taking benefit of free IEOD data provided by them at EOD.
