in amibroker format folder there file call aqd.format you have just edit that file inj any text editor eg, note pad

Ticker,FullName,Close,Date_MDY,Time,Skip,Skip,Open ,Low,High,Volume

You don't even have to use amiquote.
There is vb command for data import in Amibroker
& for time just add system time to input.

Omkar,
Would you kindly elaborate the process a bit. Is the same thing possible with FC or MS?

For MS you should have Metalib OR Mansoor's free utility.
No idea for FC

i must apreciate ur promptness in replying 2 my query. i've downloaded the mansoor utility. not being a s/w person its not clear to me what to do with it. i've a MS80Pro. how do i use this utility to bring rt data from ***** and display it in ms. my understanding of the readme file of the utility is that its an utility to create ms directories and convert data to bin2asc and asc2bin. i'll be extremely grateful if you kindly elaborate the process a bit in plane english.

Using Mansoor's utility is not a difficult thing. (I'll explain it to u if u wish. but there are other issues to consider)

It do not fetch data from *****.
It's a converter which converts data from csv/ASCII Metastock file format.
Again there is MS charts refreshing issue.

So this utility is a component in this process.

Updating MS charts is 10 times harder than updating Amibroker.
It's only because Equis wants to sell their own data (MS soft costs one time 27000 but their data costs 60,000 per annum. so their main biz is data supply.)
Amibroker is not a data supplier. So they keep it as easy as they can.

But their are alternatives to do that. All of them are little tricky.

By the way. we are in thread "real time data for amibroker with amiquote"
Why don't you start a thread like "***** RT data to Metastock" hope others will contribute also.
