How much profit one can make in Intraday

#2
I am new to intraday trading. Just wanted to know is there any upperlimit on profit in intraday in a given financial year. I mean is there any upper cap for gross profit.
As long as you pay your Income Tax properly and honestly on the profits made, there is no limit on profits made. So dont worry about that, first let the profit come.

Read this story..

His name is Joe Campbell, and he claims he went to bed Wednesday evening with some $37,000 in his trading account at E-Trade. One notable development on the pharma front later, and Campbell woke up to a debt of $106,445.56. Now, he may end up liquidating his 401(k). And his wife’s.

That’s where you come in. At least where Campbell desperately hopes you come in. Of course, sympathy in the trading community over such gaffes is typically in short supply.

Yes, it's possible to lose more than what you have in your account even in intraday.

Not very probable with brokers auto-squaring your positions but it's possible if all the orders dry up and the auto-square off orders are executed far away from the point of margin call.

I think you cannot make more than 20% of profit or loss on any scrip in intraday trading. This is because exchange will stop the transactions for the scrip if it rises or falls more than 20%
