Sooner Or Later You Will Be Disappointed With Most Of Them...For Various Reasons From Service To Hidden Charges....In My Opinion The Best That Is Available Is From MTNL... Go For Unlimited & You Should Be Ok With It

Agreed. Hidden charges is what the main concern for all users of Broadband internet users.I want to disconnect my Reliance netconnect but when i contacted them, they told me that If i disconnect my broadband connection, my device can't be used further,so i have to put it in safe custody mode, where i need to pay them 100 Rs per month for no use.
These service providers sucks.

MTNL has started offering unlimited plans for Rs 500 a month. I got to know this from one of my vendors.

MTNL's Lowest Unlimited Plan Is For 395/-
Unlike Some Others Whose Unlimited Plan Comes With 'Fair Usage Policy' To Spring Extra Charges On Unsuspecting Clients.

Moreover, If The Bandwidth Offered By MTNL Is Low...Just Call Their Prabhadevi Office & It Gets Increased On The Same Day...

You are absolutely correct. The situation is the same irrespective of the place we live, be it Bombay or in Chennai. Hidden charges are very high. I have opted for airtel 256 kbps, for 700 per month, but most of the time i got only up to 128 kbps, when i contacted my vendor to increase the Speed, he said and thats it.. and suggested me to go for 512 kbps @ 1300 Pm..

Now i understood that they were sucking my hard earned money, and i asked to disconnect it.. and to which they responded that they will take away half of my deposit amount of Rs 3000/-

So Just as Vishal412, i decided to switch over to safe custody mode, under plan 128 kbps @ 330 per month..

At present i am using only BSNL broad band BB combo plus, upto 2Mbps @ 1100 per month.. and it is quite satisfactory.:)

I 've had a bad experience with MTNL. Used to get disconnected frequently. Problem could not be solved so I've switched to TATA photon+ . No problems so far.
