Chrome internet browser

It is much faster than IE. Speed is comparable to firefox. The best thing is very little space is used for many bar etc so that maximum area is available for the web page. The biggest problem is that some plugins are not available for example NSE page will not display the ticker as the browser cannot indentify the required plugin.

It is only a beta version. Since it is a open source browser we can hope it will improve on the plugin aspect soon.

Overall it is a nice browser...

Karthik,

Perhaps the GREAT news about the CHROME it is less SEVERE on your resources.Yes ,it has when you view NSE page ,it will not display tickers.

Another major drawback----My mouse has WHEEL apart from left ,right buttons.By PRESSING the wheel ,a special symbol appears on the screen
and by moving the mouse on TOP side ,then the page will scroll to top automatically and vice versa. But this is missing in CHROME.Anyway ,I think it is a beta version ,afterwards it will become feature rich.

Another drawback-------in case a word is mis-spelled it does INDICATE it but won't give you alternate solution.

I've been using it since this morning. Quite happy.

Re. the NSE ticker. Same problem with the BSE ticker.

In Chrome, do a search for plug-ins and how to fix broken plug-ins. You'll get a link to the Sun Java site. Download the latest java implementation and you'll get the tickers working just fine.

(For some reason, Google has used the latest java and presumably doesn't recognise the java versions already on our PCs.)

Anyway, for me the acid test is how it will perform tomorrow when I log onto Geojit Online's trading platform. I use a web-based platform for trading that is based on java.

There's also a "help group" @ http://groups.google.com/group/google-chrome-help

The problem with java is mentioned in:

and:

6) Problems using Java applets or most notably POGO.com games:

Note: please make sure you have Java 6, Update 10 installed. Chrome
does not support usage of older Java versions, so please make sure you
have this version before reporting a Java related bug! See
